What is core aeration? Core aeration is when you use a machine and pull 2’’-4’’ soil plugs from throughout the lawn, leaving them behind to decompose into the ground. Aeration leaves small holes in the lawn allowing the soil to receive more oxygen, water, and air. Helping to promote growth!
Over-seeding is often done after core aeration. If you are looking to introduce a new blend of grass seed, or have a thick lush lawn. Overseeding might be a good option for you. Over-seeding is pretty much what it sounds like. Once or, sometimes while the aeration is being done, grass seed is then spread over the agitated ground.

Addition costs $50 for marking sprinkler heads and dog fences.

Why should you consider aerating your lawn?
A few reasons why we might suggest aeration.
If your lawn has started thinning out
This past summer or winter might have stressed your lawn, and in turn you are left with a patchy lawn. Aeration and Overseeding would help break up the dead grass while adding new seed.
If your lawn has become compressed. Sometimes due to heavy equipment, or years of compacting. Your lawn starts to become compacted. A good solution would be to Aerate. When you do a core aeration it pulls plugs of the dirt, leaving small holes throughout your lawn to allow air, water and much needed nutrients back into your lawn. It also allows the grass roots room to spread out and thrive!
